Sarah Cambridge- Executive Director
Sarah has been part of the Birchwood family for the last 5 years. Sarah is a licensed Professional Counselor and took on the role as the Executive Director 2 years ago. Sarah oversees all aspects of the Birchwood program. Sarah works closely with the Alaska Baptist Resource Network and other community resources to make sure that any person that is in need of mental health support can find it.
Brooke Weaver
Intake Coordinator
Brooke reviews all prospective residential clients, including onboarding and placement services. She works to ensure all residential clients are getting their medical, educational, and family needs met. She also works with community members ensuring that all our residential clients are supported while in and out of the Birchwood program. Brooke is also Birchwood’s certified chicken mom for our therapeutic chickens.
Talia Farris
Admin Assistant
Talia joined the Birchwood team in 2022. She is the first person clients hear from regarding services for both outpatient and residential programs.
Angela Choi
Outpatient Clinician
Angela joined Birchwood in 2022 as an outpatient clinician. She received a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University in 2022. Angela is working to become a licensed clinician within the State of Alaska. She has experience working with adults, teens, and children.
Anna Luiken
Outpatient Clinician
Anna has a Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Wayland Baptist University. Her thesis was in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Motivational Interviewing, Solution Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Play Therapy. Her emphasis is in Training in Child development issues, Autism, multicultural diversity, children and adolescent trauma, and couples and family therapy.
Linda King
Clinical Supervisor
Linda provides essential therapeutic services to individuals who seek treatment on an outpatient basis. She works closely with patients to assess their mental health needs, develop treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions. Linda has advanced training in play therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She also works closely with our residential clients and provides counseling for adults, adolescents, children, individuals, and families.
Norhan Hassan
Finance/Bookkeeper
Norhan has been with Birchwood since 2022. She maintains our facility’s books and records.
Joshua King
Siya Santos
Operations Manager
Siya joined Birchwood in 2023. She is responsible for the daily oversight of the operations of the Birchwood program. This includes all issues related to the daily running of the Birchwood residential program and maintaining the Birchwood grounds, including all buildings.
